Bungalows: Quality and characteristics

Bungalows are generally single structured one-story buildings. In some parts especially in south Asian countries like Singapore and India, bungalows were constructed in two stores. It has a wide verandah and an open porch.

 

In a country like India, middle class people are known for staying in apartments. So owning a bungalow depicts a sign of wealth and extravagance. Bungalows are widely prevalent in some wealthier parts of India. There are several luxury bungalows projects near Mumbai especially in the areas of Juhu, Bandra, and Malabar coasts.

 

Mumbai is a metropolitan city with a high population density and a vast coastal front. Several corporate headquarters are located in Mumbai. It is also the home of many actors and actresses working in the Bollywood film industry. Staying in a bungalow is indeed a nice experience for a family. Since all the rooms are accessible from a single floor, bungalows made life more easy and comfortable. The houses are openly spaced with good ventilation. Along with that, there is a lawn in the backyard which makes a perfect place for kids to play. Most importantly the houses are easy to maintain due to their single floor nature. Even the electricity cost is much lower than any other house. In colder regions of higher altitudes, a fireplace was built separately with chimneys for smoke outlets in a bungalow. The roofs were made slanting to prevent it from snowfalls. Bungalows are generally built-in large open plots far from densely populated regions. Thus Bungalow offers considerably more privacy to a family with a peaceful ambiance.
